2014 China-Africa Fisheries Cooperation Headquarters Launched in Langqi

On the afternoon of May 6, the "Maritime Silk Road • 21st Century Dialogue: China-Africa Fisheries Cooperation Project Briefing & Launch Ceremony of China-Africa Fisheries Cooperation Headquarters (Langqi, China)" was held in the Langqi Economic Zone, Mawei District. During the event, both parties signed a strategic cooperation letter of intent for the Langqi-based China-Africa Fisheries Headquarters Project.

Attendees included fisheries representatives from 15 African nations, delegates from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), members of China-Africa Fishery Union, and representatives from dozens of major domestic enterprises and publicly listed companies.

The Langqi-based China-Africa Fisheries Headquarters Project has completed official project approval. Designed under the theme of the "Maritime Silk Road," its masterplan adopts a "one center, two pillars" structural framework, creating functional zones focused on a core fishing port operations area, supplemented by wellness-leisure and business conference zones. The fishing port operations area will be centralized in Langqi's northern district, with supporting facilities distributed across central and southern areas, spanning over 28,822 mu (approximately 19,214,666 square meters) of land.

Hollytech Linguistics provided comprehensive international conference services for the event, delivering simultaneous interpretation in English and Chinese alongside translation of all conference materials, ensuring seamless proceedings.
