With the theme of "Innovation, Cooperation and Development", the Forum on China-Africa Scientific and Technological Cooperation was comprised of two sessions: "Scientific and Technological Strategy and Policy" and "Science Park Planning and Construction", and was an important initiative of China-Africa Science and Technology Partnership Program. 

Since the launch of China-Africa Science and Technology Partnership Program, as of Nov 20, 2011, China Ministry of Science and Technology has kicked off and supported 42 "China-Africa Joint Studies and Technology Demonstration Projects", assisted the first group of African scientific personnel to carry out postdoctoral studies in China, and donated research equipment to 19 homebound African scientific personnel. Through the "Seminar on Technical Training in Developing Countries", China Ministry of Science and Technology has trained 135 scientific and technical personnel for African countries, and has successfully held "China Exhibition on Innovative Technologies and Products" and "Round-table on China-Africa Cooperation" in Egypt.
